About

Why LessFiltered exists

Most leadership tools are built for organisations. LessFiltered is built for the leader sitting in the meeting, managing a team, trying to do right by the people who work for them.

The name comes from a simple observation: most of what flows between leaders and their teams gets filtered along the way. Employees filter what they share based on what feels safe to say. Leaders filter their decisions through incomplete information. The result is a gap between intention and reality that shows up quietly, in disengagement, in turnover, in teams that stop bringing their best.

LessFiltered exists to reduce that gap. Not with enterprise software or quarterly engagement surveys, but with lightweight tools grounded in research, designed for how senior leaders actually work.

What we build so far

LF Meet Beta
Helps managers know what each person on their team needs and cover it consistently, across 1:1s and every interaction in between. Built on a framework drawn from decades of peer-reviewed engagement research. Read the research behind LF Meet.
LF Inbox Beta
Gives teams a genuinely anonymous way to share honest input when it happens, so leaders hear what conversations alone don’t surface. Read the research behind LF Inbox.

More tools in the making.

How we work

LessFiltered is a small, independent operation, built by Nelleke van Heerikhuize, an executive coach who works with leaders and teams directly. We build carefully, stay close to our users, and would rather do two things well than ten things adequately.
