#76 Roll Call Meetings

We have a mandatory 8:30 a.m. company-wide meeting every day, cameras on, everyone at their desks. It feels more like roll call than teamwork. I’d rather start at 9 and dive straight into real work. Two and a half hours a week of check-ins is neither trust nor is it productive.

Work

#75 Open Office Logic

Open office logic: people take all their online meetings at their desks, talking loudly for hours, while the empty meeting rooms sit right there. I asked them to use one and got told I should move instead. I just want to be able to concentrate. 🤷🏻‍♂️

#64 Energy Over Hours

Working 15 hours a day isn’t a flex. It’s usually bad time management in disguise. You burn out fast, lose focus, and forget what life outside work feels like. Productivity isn’t about hours, but about having energy left for the rest of your life.

#62 No Morning Meetings

I don’t take meetings before noon. It’s the rule that keeps me productive. Mornings are when my brain actually works, and one 8 a.m. meeting can ruin that. People respect the boundary more than if I just said no. Protect your best hours like your sanity depends on it.

Work

#55 Flawless at Home

Worked from home yesterday while my boss was out. Flawless day. Focused, productive, even ran errands without stress. Back in the office today, surrounded by noise and interruptions. Why do employers force us in when the job can be done at home?

#15 Work Will Survive

I just set the out-of-office message, and I am not planning to check email while on holiday!
Work will survive without my constant attention?
